The items on this site are either designs that I have sold or are still available. Most of what I do is customized and commissioned. If you see something here that has been sold, I can use that as a starting design point. I have several wood types. The most popular live edge option is the Black Walnut. All of my work is either polished epoxy with oiled wood (satin) or epoxy flood coated (gloss) if they are Cedar or for use outdoors. I use only Food Grade Rated counter top / deep pour FGCI epoxy and oils such as Rubio Monocoat or butcher block mineral oils. As far as care goes, they can be handwashed. They will need to be wiped periodically with mineral oil as the wood dries out with use. Epoxy is not designed to be cut on as a cutting board. If a cutting board is your choice, then you have two options. Either have your epoxy design at the corners where you do not cut or turn the board over and cut on the bottom, without any rubber feet of course. Typically these are not used as cutting boards.  The epoxy is not dishwasher safe and should not be used as trivets since epoxy is not heat resistant.
